Price on the Podium
There's nothing more American than spending Fourth of July weekend at a racetrack, which is exactly where the Price's found themselves on July 5th where Lacie made her 7th start in the Irwindale Race Trucks. Lacie's qualifying effort placed her 4th in the field of 14 trucks. An invert of 6 placed her on the inside of row 2 to start the 40 lap feature. The initial start did not treat Lacie well, dropping her back to the 6th position. She had moved up to the 4th position by lap 10, and took 3rd on lap 22 as points leader Ryan Partridge suffered an engine problem. A late race restart shuffled Lacie back to the 4th position, where she then found herself in a side by side battle for 3rd for the remaining laps of the race. At the line, Lacie captured her career best finish of 3rd by 0.004 seconds and landed her on the podium for the first time in her career at Irwindale Speedway. Lacie's next race will be in the #22 Dustin Ash Motorsports Legend Car at Laguna Seca (Mazda Raceway) on July 26th and 27th where she hopes to take home the wins and extend her points lead in the national Pro Road Course Standings.
